The ORMI-OP&PM Prize is intended to encourage younger researchers
to perform their advanced studies
in the area of applied and industrial mathematics
and to write high-level articles on the results archived.
The prize is awarded for an outstanding paper to winner
of the All-Russian competition
"Marked Work of a Young Researchers in the Field
of Applied and Industrial Mathematics".
The ORMI-OP&PM Prize has three degrees.
Papers of all prize recipients are published
in concurrent issues of the journal
OP&PM Surveys in Applied and Industrial Mathematics(Obozrenie Prikladnoi I Promyslennoi Matematiki), published by OP&PM Editorial.
The All-Russian Symposia on Applied and Industrial Mathematics have been held twice a year since 2000. The Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics (Obschestvo Prikladnoi I Promyslennoi Matematiki) was founded at 2009 meeting. The organization first awarded the prize in 2007 at ICIAM in Zurich. The award is given every four years at ICIAM. | |

Vasily Nikolaevich Zubov
MICEX-Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange For his paper: "Power Divergence of Distributions of Goodness-of-Fit Statistics and Chi-Square Distribution: Rate of Convergence" Citation: For his insightful and deep contributions to the theory of probability and mathematical statistics. Vasily Nikolaevich Zubov was born in Moscow and graduated from Moscow State University before earning degrees from ETH in Zurich and, in Lausanne, from EPFL and HEC School of Business. He received his Ph.D. from Moscow State University in October 2010. He currently holds the position of Analyst at MICEX and is a scientific book reviewer for OP&PM Surveys in Applied and Industrial Mathematics. |
